Why Radiators Are Designed To Waste Energy
Look at a radiator. It is placed under a window, on the coldest wall, where the heat loss is the highest. It heats air to 60 degrees. That super hot air immediately shoots up to the ceiling. It heats the ceiling you don’t use. Then it cools down, falls to the floor on the opposite wall as a cold draft, and goes back to the radiator. This is called convection loop. It creates constant wind in your room, it carries dust from the floor to your nose, it makes your air dry, and it guarantees that your feet are always in the coldest air.
